Vapor Inscriptions

Protocol owned inscriptions? wtf?

Vapor inscriptions is an highly experimental module within the Vapor Protocol.

Design

Due to Sui's object-centric mechanism, it is possible to bond inscriptions. Including a mint fee in a single inscription unit automatically sets a floor price.

Thus, the protocol can consider inscriptions as a form of wrapped Sui coin, and can be available to bond at the mint fee value of the inscription unit.

Inscriptions can also be burnt, and the fee retrieved, at any time, making it a risk-free investment for any minters.

Trade

Vapor inscriptions are tradable, and can be exchanged in marketplaces such as SuiMint. Whereas the protocol bonds Vapor Inscriptions at it's floor price, Vapor inscriptions can be traded at any price through secondary marketplaces.

In time, this may be a vector for DAO profitability if the DAO acquires enough inscriptions to trade them above the floor price, effectively turning a profit.
